Description

80 days from transplant – first offered to the public in 2010 by Victory Seeds. Dwarf Mr. Snow is a potato leaf dwarf variety that produces oblate medium to medium large fruit that ripen to an ivory color with a pink blossom end blush. The flavor is intense with a distinct note of tartness, and the variety is quite prolific. It originated from a cross made by Patrina Nuske Small between Golden Dwarf Champion and Green Giant, named Sneezy. Dwarf Mr. Snow was selected and named by Craig LeHoullier. The name was chosen to honor a friend of Craig, A. C. Snow, an editor for the local Raleigh newspaper who was the first to feature Craig in an article about heirlooms when he moved to Raleigh. Since the tomato is white, as is snow, it seems a most fitting name. After informing Mr/ Snow of this, he wrote an article indicating it was the very first time anyone named anything in his honor!
